In an effort to enhance the transformation of zakat strategies and management, BAZNAS held the 7th Indonesian Conference of Zakat (ICONZ), an International Conference 2023. The event, taking place at Muhammadiyah University Jakarta on November 7-8, 2023, included a zakat conference and academic paper competition that attracted a wide range of practitioners and academics.

A total of 96 academic papers were selected to participate in the presentation sessions. From all the selected papers, the jury decided on the top 3 academic papers, one of which was achieved by the team of Sharia Economics Master’s students from FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

In this lively competition, the FEBI MES team, consisting of Hasbi, Nur Aisyah Indarningsih, Suci Wulandari Siregar, and Zahra Ramadani Jasman achieved the title of Best Paper 2 in the 7th Indonesian Conference of Zakat (ICONZ), An International Conference 2023.

The success of the FEBI MES team also reaffirms that the Sharia Economics Master’s Program UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has successfully provided a platform for students to develop in various aspects of life. Through continuous mentoring and guidance, it is hoped that MES FEBI students will produce more valuable potential. This outstanding achievement is expected to inspire other students, particularly those in the Sharia Economics Master’s Program at FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, to persist in their self-improvement and growth.
