Due to the increase of the internationalization progress of Higher Education, in 2018 , Faculty of Islamic Economics and Busisness UIN Sunan Kalijaga has a partnership program with Wuxi Institute of Technology (WXIT), China. Both institutions are mutually interested in exploring cooperation in education, research, community service, internship and cultural exchange. As the pripor program, Magister Ekonomi Syariah Study Program offers to conduct a possible program in the Covis-19 era. Thus, conducting community service programs online is the appropiate one. Community service is important because it promotes social cohesion, personal growth, skill development, and positive change within communities. It contributes to the well-being of both individuals and society, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and collective progress.

To give the deeper understanding in communication between Indonesia and China university, Magister Ekonomi Syariah Study Program held the community service entitled CROSS CULTURE UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN INDONESIA AND CHINA. The program hold with VOOV platform on: Saturday, 11 January 2020 at 09.00 WIB – 13.30 WIB.

The head of study program, Dr. Muhammad Ghafur Wibowo introduced the Indonesia habits and etiquettes to WXIT’s students and lecturers. He explained that the Indonesian etiquette and culture are influenced by a blend of indigenous customs, various religions, and cultural diversity. The way of giving greeting, Respect for Elders and Authority, Dining Etiquette, Cultural and Religious Sensitivity, Nonverbal Communication, and also Language and Politeness. In the last session, the lecturer of WXIT, Miss Doris also introduce the Chinese etiquette to MES students.
