HMPM 2025 Fellowship Night (Makrab): Uniting Commitment to Strengthen Ukhuwah
On May 11–12, 2025, the Graduate Student Association (HMPM) of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), UIN Sunan Kalijaga, successfully organized the Fellowship Night (Malam Keakraban / Makrab) at Villa Merapi 2. Carrying the theme STECU (Uniting Commitment to Achieve Ukhuwah), the activity served as an important momentum to strengthen bonds among HMPM members through a spirit of togetherness, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
The event was officially opened with remarks from the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Abd. Rohim, who expressed gratitude for the smooth implementation of the activity, extended appreciation to all participants, and conveyed apologies for any shortcomings. He emphasized that the event was intended as an initial step toward strengthening ukhuwah and fostering a more cohesive space for collective growth within the organization.
Subsequently, the President of HMPM, Miftah Surur, stated that the Fellowship Night was not merely a routine organizational program, but a concrete effort to realize the values of synergy and inclusivity. These values, he noted, are expected to serve as a foundation for harmony and solidarity amid the dynamic processes of organizational life.
The activity was conducted in a lively and engaging atmosphere. A series of programs—including introductory sessions, group games, a campfire gathering, and collective reflection—created a warm, friendly, and joyful environment. Participants fully immersed themselves in the activities, fostering meaningful interactions and shared experiences that strengthened interpersonal connections.
The event concluded with the shared hope that the values of togetherness cultivated during the Fellowship Night would continue to be sustained, and that the STECU spirit would serve as a strong foundation for advancing HMPM’s organizational journey in the future.
The HMPM 2025 Fellowship Night demonstrated that with shared commitment and collective spirit, a strong and supportive academic community can be built within a single organization.
