Follow-Up Audit of the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business
On November 22, 2024, the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics successfully conducted a Follow-Up Audit (Audit Tindak Lanjut/ATL) in response to the findings of the previous Internal Quality Audit (Audit Mutu Internal/AMI) period. This activity was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to enhance academic and operational quality. The audit aimed to ensure that the study program continues to operate in accordance with the quality standards established by the university.
During the ATL implementation, one of the key aspects reviewed was Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) and research activities conducted during the 2023–2024 period. The Audit Team, consisting of Dr. H. Muh. Wasith Achadi, S.Ag., M.Ag., and Taufik Rahman, M.Sos., provided valuable input regarding the need to improve the scope of PKM activities within the MES Program, which were considered still limited, as well as the importance of developing more structured PKM programs that are aligned with community needs. In addition, the auditors emphasized the need to enhance both the quality and quantity of research that can contribute to the development of Islamic-based economic knowledge.
Vice Dean I, Dr. Sunaryati, S.E., M.Si., together with the Head of the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics, Dr. Muhammad Ghafur Wibowo, S.E., M.Sc., stated that this audit served as an important momentum for conducting a comprehensive evaluation and formulating future strategic steps. “We greatly appreciate the feedback provided by the audit team. This serves as motivation for us to continuously enhance our contributions to the development of knowledge and community empowerment,” he stated.
The feedback received through this audit will be promptly followed up through internal evaluation meetings. The study program is committed to strengthening synergy among lecturers, students, and external stakeholders to produce high-quality research and community service programs with tangible social impact. Through the implementation of the Internal Quality Audit, the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics aims to continue serving as a pioneer in the development of Islamic-based economic scholarship and to make positive contributions to national and societal advancement.
