UiTM Malaysia Lecturer Delivers Lecture at the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics, UIN Sunan Kalijaga: A Tangible Form of Global Academic Collaboration
Yogyakarta, May 20, 2025 — The Master’s Program in Islamic Economics (MES) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening international academic networks through an initiative entitled “UiTM Lecturer Teaching Program.” Held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the activity represents a concrete form of collaboration between the MES Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga and the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
The program served as a strategic platform for enhancing knowledge exchange and academic collaboration in the fields of Islamic economics and business. Through this initiative, MES students were provided with the opportunity to learn directly from an international scholar, thereby broadening their global perspectives and deepening their understanding of contemporary issues from a sharia-based standpoint.
The main speaker of the program was Noorul Huda Sahari, an Associate Professor from UiTM with expertise in Sharia Law, Usul al-Fiqh, Qawaid al-Fiqh, Halal Audit, and Islamic Medical Ethics. He delivered a lecture to students of the Master’s Program in Islamic Economics in Classroom 103, 1st Floor, presenting academically rigorous and practically relevant material.
This activity represents a tangible implementation of the international cooperation established between the MES Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga and ACIS UiTM. Beyond contributing to the enhancement of learning quality, the program also forms part of MES’s strategic initiatives in supporting the vision of UIN Sunan Kalijaga as a World Class University, as outlined in the university’s rectoral agenda.
The successful implementation of this program was made possible through the strong collaborative spirit of the entire academic community of the MES Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, which actively promotes the strengthening of global partnerships within the framework of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Through initiatives such as this, the MES Program remains committed to continuously improving educational quality, expanding international academic relations, and making meaningful contributions to the advancement of Islamic economics scholarship at the global level.
